KHLR 94.9 "Hallelujah FM" main HD-1 stream
KHLR 94.9 HD-2 stream (smooth jazz format)
KHKN 106.7 attempting (and failing) to decode IBOC. However the "Tom" ID shows up.
The weak KHKN signal here reveals the RDS the station also uses. My tuner does not have a analog-only function (to disable IBOC) so the RDS (which is encoded on the analog signal) is not visible on many stations unless I turn away from the transmitter (such as in the case of KHLR, KSSN, and KMJX) KHLR 94.9 is ending the "Hallelujah 94.9" format of black gospel on Monday. That programming will switch to the smaller 106.7 signal currently occupied by "Tom FM"
KHKN. KHLR's
IBOC signal is the most notorious of the IBOC pests in this area. The IBOC streams currently on KHLR are:
KHLR-1: // with the analogKHLR-2: Smooth JazzI do expect a format change on the HD-2 streams once the stations swap. KHKN's IBOC/"HD" streams are usually too weak to decode here. When KMJX was "Magic 105", the KMJX-2 stream was a "deep tracks" style format called "The Vinyl Vinyard", but was dropped when The Wolf moved to Magic 105's old frequency.
Speaking of KHKN, I did a short listen and did hear an announcement about the station moving "later this month" to 94.9. KHKN is jockless, and I expect the same out of KHLR once it gets the Jack FM clone format.
